Liz Gifford RGN, BSc (Hons), PG Dip is a qualified Senior Oncology Nurse providing holistic Lymphoedema care and Oncology Massage at BWT Physio.

With over 33 years of experience in cancer nursing, working closely with surgeons, physiotherapists, medical and clinical oncologists, Liz will ensure she obtains a full history and assessment to inform her diagnosis and treatment. Liz is passionate about patient education, self-care measures and techniques to reduce or minimise the impact on quality of life. Treatment is individually tailored to your needs and abilities.

Liz undertook her adult nurse training at The Sheffield School of Nursing, qualifying in 1988. She started her Cancer Nursing studies in Guildford in 1990 moving on to The Royal Marsden where she worked and simultaneously began her Bachelor of Science degree at The Institute of Cancer Research & the University of Manchester, she graduated in 1998.

Continuing her oncology nurse career as a Breast Cancer Specialist, Liz moved to Dorset and has undertaken several and varied roles providing her with a wealth of expertise upon which to draw. She has undertaken post graduate studies in advanced practice and clinical leadership in cancer at the University of Southampton.
