Following this Kate worked as the clinical lead for APOS Therapy in London. AposTherapy is an innovative, personalised, non-surgical and drug-free programme for orthopaedic knee and back pain.
‘I played a fundamental role in developing the business in the UK by providing high levels of professional care to patients suffering with a variety of musculoskeletal lower back, knee, hip and ankle conditions. One of the highlights in working in the organisation for over 5 years was that I was able to reduce pain and maintain independence for a number of patients – who for one reason or another could not undergo surgery -for the duration of my position. This I have found really rewarding and incredibly satisfying, as building a strong rapport/relationship with patients I treat is very important to me.’
Kate’s commitment to patient care led her to a two year position as Head of the Therapy Department at The Cure Hospital In Malawi. You can read more about her experiences by clicking here.
On her return to the UK we were lucky to recruit Kate to our team where her breadth of knowledge and skills are assisting the recovery of patients in our corporate settings and clinics at The West Hants Club and now Parkstone.
