John graduated from Cardiff in 2009 before completing his rotations at Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS trust. A big move to Perth, Australia in 2011 secured John a place in a prestigious, specialist musculoskeletal private practice, where he gained a wealth and variety of experience.
On returning home in 2014, John joined BWT and continues to have a strong interest in sports injury management and all musculoskeletal conditions. His love of golf has gained him a handicap of 7 and his understanding of body mechanics is reflected in this quote.
‘Whilst good equipment can enhance performance, it is the sequence of complex movements of the human body that generates the golf club to hit the golf ball large distances with great accuracy. These movements are performed many times throughout a round, and clearly the better the body can cope with these demands, the better the performance will be. Unfortunately however, the biomechanics and explosive nature of the golf swing can put tremendous amounts of stress through the body and can lead to injury, most often in the low back, shoulders, elbows, wrists and hips’
John is now available for specialist MSK treatment at Parkstone. To read more about ‘It’s all in the Swing’ click here
