Head of Medical Physics RBH. Clinical Scientist HCPC Reg: CS00796. Chartered Scientist, Member Institute of Physics & Engineering in Medicine. Accredited vascular scientist and vice president Society for Vascular Technology Of Great Britain & Ireland.
Dominic Foy has worked as a medical physicist since 1984 specialising in doppler ultrasound and clinical measurement.
Initially working at the Bristol General Hospital & Bristol Royal Infirmary he moved to Poole Hospital in 2008 for a more senior post. He later transferred to Royal Bournemouth Hospital where he was deputy head of Medical Physics and more recently became Clinical Lead for Medical Physics.
Dominic is closely involved in the Society for Vascular Technology of Great Britain & Ireland. This is the National society for non-invasive imaging of blood flow. He has been elected as president of SVT for 2019.
He works in close cooperation with Consultant surgeons & Interventional Radiologists locally to promote accurate diagnosis & treatment of vascular disease.
