Acupuncture at BWT
August 27, 2020
Physio led or Traditional Chinese Acupuncture can form part of your treatment plan.
To promote a healing environment for the body, many of the physios at BWT have gained advanced qualifications in Western Acupuncture. We can reduce pain and swelling, increase range of moment and, even if you do not like needles, use acupuncture – TENS (a mild electrical stimulation) or even acupressure that you can be taught to use at home.
If, however, you are looking for Traditional Chinese Acupuncture we are delighted to have Anne Ullstead working alongside us.
Anne says ‘ Acupuncture promotes blood flow, reduces inflammation, relieves pain and restores homeostasis. (The way the body regulates and balances it’s internal systems). It also reduces stress and causes the release of natural pain killers. It stimulates the body’s natural healing response helping to restore the balance of mental, physical and emotional functions.
Acupuncture may be used for prevention, maintenance or healing of specific problems ranging from sports injuries, muscle pain and sciatica to anxiety, headaches, insomnia, menopausal symptoms, infertility and to strengthen the immune system.’
We will always look at the bigger picture to ensure you recovery has been addressed form all angles. For more information please call or fill in a contact form
